Best beginner teams in Pokémon Champions: what to copy first
If you are new to doubles, copy a team that is easy to pilot and cheap to build. These are the patterns that work.
Pick a team with a clear plan
- Sun with Mega Charizard Y and Venusaur: Mega evolve, press Heat Wave, let Venusaur put things to sleep. Len's launch team (QGYAG5WE3C) is still the reference.
- Rain with Pelipper and Archaludon: lead Pelipper, click Electro Shot. Most rain teams on this site follow the same script.
- Hard Trick Room with Torkoal or Ursaluna: set Trick Room with Farigiraf or Hatterene, then use Eruption or Facade.
Avoid these at first
- Perish Trap and Mega Gengar teams: they win by precise timing and lose to any misread.
- Teams with Ally Switch, Instruct or Baton Pass: strong, but every turn has a trap.
- Teams built around a single Mega sweeper that needs two setup turns.
Checklist before copying
- You own all six Pokémon, or you can recruit them with VP.
- The team is marked for the current regulation (M-C).
- It has at least one Fake Out or Intimidate user, those forgive mistakes.
- The team page shows recent copies and up-votes, a code nobody copies in weeks may be outdated.
Use the Builder page to see which teams you can already build from the Pokémon you own.
